In our home town Habiganj, the landscape is defined by haors: massive seasonal wetlands that stretch to the horizon. Growing up surrounded by that vastness shapes how you think. It teaches you that still water runs deep, and that what looks quiet on the surface can hold extraordinary power underneath.
That's where the five of us met. Not in a startup incubator or a university lab: but in the classrooms and clubs of our hometown. We organized events, built projects nobody asked us to build, argued about technology at tea stalls, and slowly realized we were better together than apart.
Then life scattered us. Different universities, different cities, different paths. But the group chat never died. The shared Google Docs kept growing. And the question kept coming back: “Why aren't we doing this for real?”
So we did. We named it after the thing that shaped us: the haor. HaorGrix was born not from a business plan, but from a friendship that refused to stay casual. Five people who know each other deeply enough to build under pressure, disagree without ego, and ship products that actually work.
